Meet Momma Cherry – A Gentle Soul Waiting for Her Happy Ending

Momma Cherry is a 4.5-year-old, 17 lb Chihuahua mix who has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over a year. She is a sweet, gentle, calm, and affectionate girl. Cherry is easygoing, obedient, and well-behaved. Because of her past, she can be shy and fearful in new environments and around new people, and she needs a little time to build trust. Once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality truly shines. Cherry’s story began in a rural area of Mexicali, Mexico, where she was found struggling to survive with her puppies. She was very hungry and sick, but received the veterinary care she desperately needed. Now, it’s Cherry’s turn to be chosen.

Cherry would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell and feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Cherry was treated for ehrlichia and is now healthy and ready for adoption. She is fully vetted, including being vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed, and on flea and tick prevention.

Training & Support

Cherry is described as well-behaved. Given her past, she may need time to adjust and build trust in new situations.
