Meet Bubba! Bubba is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being close to his people. He has great eye contact and responded very well to clicker training, making him an enjoyable dog to work with. He is a true lap dog and loves sleeping on laps whenever he gets the chance. Bubba is quite clingy and forms strong attachments to his family. He can become vocal when left alone, especially if one of his people leaves the house. He is also very vocal while in his kennel. Although he is accustomed to being kenneled and has never had accidents inside it, he did destroy a kennel bed.
Bubba was used to multiple walks each day and did a great job keeping up on long walks and runs. He does pull on the leash, so continued leash training would be beneficial. He wasn't interested in playing fetch or chasing balls. He was taken outside frequently for potty breaks and had no accidents in the house. He has been reliable with his house training when given regular opportunities to go outside.
Bubba did very well living with a cat. Although the cat occasionally bullied him, he didn't seem to mind and remained calm. He also did well with visiting dogs and interacted appropriately with them. Car rides are challenging for Bubba. He appears anxious, has difficulty settling down, and may shake during rides.
Overall, Bubba is a loving, affectionate companion who thrives on human attention. He would do best with a family that enjoys spending time with him, can provide regular exercise, and is willing to continue working on his leash manners and separation-related anxiety.
