JJ Ryder is a solid, athletic, and loyal companion who is as ready for adventure as he is for a good cuddle session. This handsome dude is approximately 4 years old and weighs around 75 lbs, with a build that suggests he's a natural walking partner. JJ lives for adventure, from long hikes and fetch marathons to swimming and boat rides. He's a tennis ball enthusiast and will be ready to go the moment you grab your shoes. After a day of excitement, he's just as happy to relax, snuggle on the couch, or quietly observe.

Ideal Home

JJ thrives with calm, confident leadership and bonds deeply with his person. He does best in an adult home or one with calm older teens. Due to his prey drive, a cat-free home is ideal.

Training & Support

JJ is a smart and well-behaved dog, already knowing a solid set of commands. He is gentle-lead trained, comes when called, is fully potty trained, and crate trained, meaning he can free-roam without issue. He is respectful of space, not destructive, and does not resource guard. He sleeps quietly through the night. He alerts to new people or dogs but settles quickly, gaining confidence from his handler.

Transporation

JJ is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport service on USDA licensed vehicles, ensuring quality care. Transport is available to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT). All adoptions within Texas must be picked up from Friendswood, Tx.
