Meet Honeydew!

Honeydew is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart... and never gives it back. She’s a petite, ~44 lb black Lab mix with the softest eyes and the gentlest soul. A little shy at first, Honeydew is the kind of girl who just needs a moment — and then she melts into you completely. Honeydew was abandoned at a shelter with her 11 puppies... and after they were all adopted, she was left behind and placed on the euthanasia list. But even after everything she’s been through, she is still incredibly loving, still hopeful, and still ready to trust again. She’s been in foster care far too long... just waiting for someone to finally choose her. Honeydew is sweet, gentle, and a little timid at first, but she blossoms beautifully with patience and love. She is deeply affectionate once she feels safe, quiet, soulful, and incredibly loyal. Honeydew just wants to be close to her person.

Ideal Home

Honeydew doesn’t need chaos — she needs kindness, patience, and someone who will let her truly be a dog again. A calm home where she can build confidence, feel safe and secure, and finally relax into the life she deserves. She has lived with cats and is best with older, respectful kids.

Ongoing Health

Honeydew is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and is healthy and ready for her forever home.

Training & Support

Honeydew blossoms beautifully with patience and love and is deeply affectionate once she feels safe.
