Izzie

Meet Izzie, a petite and adorable pup with a sleek black coat and charming white markings. Her long, Basset Hound-like body and short legs are complemented by a head and ears that hint at a Beagle mix, giving her a unique and endearing look. Izzie is a fun-loving dog who enjoys playtime and can really pick up speed when zoomies strike! She's a social butterfly who adores other dogs and plays well with canines of all sizes. While she's not a fan of having her picture taken, her biggest quirk is her dislike for leash walks – she prefers to lie down and stay put rather than pull. Despite this, with a little patience, she's learning to enjoy her strolls. Izzie can be a bit timid initially but quickly warms up and becomes a cuddle bug who loves to sleep curled up next to you in bed. She's less than 30 pounds and can easily hop onto standard beds and sofas.

Ideal Home

Izzie would thrive in a home where she can feel secure and loved, ideally with a yard where she can safely explore. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, it's important to note her gentle approach to leash walking.

Ongoing Health

Izzie is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

We are currently working with Izzie on her leash-walking skills, as she tends to lay down when leashed. With consistent positive reinforcement, she's sure to make progress! She settles in quickly once she feels comfortable and would love a home where she can bond closely with her people.
