About Wally & Trudy (Bonded)

Wally and Trudy are a bonded pair of nearly 6-year-old siblings, with a Beagle father and a Shih Tzu/Dachshund mix mother. Both dogs weigh around 30 lbs. They were surrendered to the shelter because their family had to move to a place that did not welcome dogs. They have spent their entire lives together and are hoping to find a home where they can continue their journey as a pair. They are house-trained, friendly with adults and children, and enjoy the company of other dogs. They also know a few basic commands and are well-behaved when left alone unsupervised. Their Dachshund heritage makes them enjoy digging in the yard, and their Beagle side means they love to chase wildlife and cats. Despite their energetic moments, Wally and Trudy also love to explore outdoors, play fetch, enjoy a good chew bone, and are happy to be couch potatoes and lap dogs.

Ideal Home

A home ready to welcome two sweethearts who enjoy exploring and cuddling. They do have a tendency to chase cats and wildlife due to their Beagle heritage.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions were mentioned in the listing.

Training & Support

While generally well-behaved, they enjoy digging and chasing, so a yard with secure fencing or opportunities for supervised digging might be beneficial. They also dislike nail trims, so patience and positive reinforcement will be key during grooming.
