July is an 8-year-old, spayed female Pitbull weighing 59 pounds. She was rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston, Texas, and is currently living in a foster home. July has lived in both apartment and house settings and has done wonderfully. She's a sweet, affectionate girl with a big heart and an adorable smile, happiest when she's curled up with her favorite people, enjoying cuddles and back scratches.
July has a moderate energy level, enjoying a couple of walks daily and playtime with her toys, complete with the cutest zoomies. After some fun, she's ready to settle in for cuddle time. She's been friendly when meeting other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion but is also content as an only pet. July walks nicely on a leash with a little pulling, rides well in the car, and shows no reaction to other dogs on walks. She is fully house-trained, comfortable in her crate, and generally non-destructive, though keeping shoes picked up is a good idea. July is eager to please and would benefit from continued leash training.
Ideal Home
July would thrive in any home, whether an apartment or a house, as long as she has people to love and a cozy spot to snuggle. She is a larger, stronger girl, so supervised play with very young children is recommended. July has not been tested with cats.
