Butterfly and Mimi

Meet Mimi & Butterfly, a bonded pair of Dachshunds who are twice the love and twice the fun! These sweet girls have been through a lot together and are now dreaming of a forever home where they can continue their journey side-by-side. Mimi and Butterfly are incredibly affectionate and thrive on cozy naps, gentle pets, and the comfort of being near their people. Their bond is truly heartwarming to witness as they follow each other around and snuggle up together.

Ideal Home

A home that will cherish both Mimi and Butterfly and keep them together for life. They will need a calm environment while they complete their heartworm treatment, with restricted activity for a short period.

Ongoing Health

Both Mimi and Butterfly are currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. This is a treatable condition, and with proper care, they are expected to live long, healthy lives. Heartworm is spread through mosquito bites and is not contagious from dog to dog.

Training & Support

While no specific behavioral issues are mentioned, Mimi and Butterfly will benefit from patience and love as they recover from their treatment and settle into a new home.

• Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and deworming treatments.
• A Foster-to-Adopt option is available for those within 60 miles of Kansas City, during which the rescue will continue to provide medical care.
• Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.

Mimi and Butterfly are currently located in Blue Springs, MO. Transportation may be available within the Kansas City area for approved adopters.
