Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, both human and canine. She knows how to have fun no matter where she is. The second you meet Lex, you'll fall in love. She is constantly brimming with joy and is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she first arrived, she ran up with a wagging tail and a huge smile, immediately showering everyone with affection. Lex loves to play with everyone, and with other dogs, she plays hard! She's full of energy. Lex is a pitbull cattle dog mix with beautiful cattle spotting and super cute pointed ears. She's 56lbs of pure happiness. In playgroup, she did great with all the dogs and played for a long time with most of them. She has a rough play style but is considerate of the dogs she plays with and is good at reading vibes. Lex played the hardest with more confident females who also loved to play. She could do great in a home with males or females, but she seems to enjoy the company of the ladies a bit more. Just be prepared for them to play all day long!
Ideal Home
Lex would thrive in a home with a yard and an active owner. She is very high energy and loves to be active, able to run around the yard for hours. Her ideal owner would be familiar with cattle dogs, as she is definitely a wild child. While Lex has not been tested with children, we believe she would love kids due to her loving nature. We suggest an older child who can hold their own since she is so active and playful. Cats are a no for Lex; she was so happy and excited to meet our cat, Biggie, that we see her possibly being too rough with cats when playing.

Lex's leash skills still need some perfecting. She loves to greet new people and pulls just a little to try and meet them. She is the type of dog that would train super well, she just needs some consistency.

Lex is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up can be arranged in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
