Max is a wonderful boy who has been at the shelter for too long. He’s become a bit fearful of men, but he warms up quickly! He absolutely adores women and children and would make an amazing guardian dog. Max also enjoys the company of other animals when he's outside his home. Once he's comfortable in his domain, he can be protective of his people. We recommend he be the only dog in the home. He is fantastic at playing fetch and is a big softie at heart, showering his loved ones with affection. Max is looking for someone to understand him and give him the love he deserves.

Max would thrive in a home that understands his need to warm up to men. He loves women and children and would be a great guardian. He would do best as the only dog in the home, though he enjoys other animals when outside his domain.
