STEPHON

Stephon is a wonderful reminder that first impressions don't always tell the whole story. Behind the excited barking in his kennel is a gentle, affectionate dog who simply needs a chance to step away from the noise. Once he's out, his whole demeanor changes. He relaxes, greets people with soft wags, takes treats with excellent manners, and happily leans into every scratch and pet. Before long, the worried dog at the kennel door is replaced by a wiggly companion who just wants to stay close to his favorite person. Stephon appears to be around 5 to 7 years old and has shown that patience and kindness go a long way with him. He enjoys exploring, investigating toys, and soaking up attention, often pressing in even closer when the petting stops. While the shelter environment has been stressful for him, he's consistently shown how sweet and loving he is once given a little time to settle. Stephon is hoping for a family who will look past the kennel and discover the loyal, affectionate dog waiting underneath.
