Norman

Norman is a handsome adult male Standard Poodle with a heart of gold, despite not having the easiest start in life. He was once welcomed into a loving family who adored him, but they were new to dog ownership. While life was happy with his immediate family, Norman was often nervous and on edge, especially around new people and unpredictable movements. He found interactions with children outside of his immediate household particularly challenging. This led to him being surrendered to SPIN.

After a period with a SPIN foster, Norman was adopted, but the new home wasn't able to consistently provide the predictable and trigger-free environment he truly needs. He was returned to SPIN, and while both his previous families loved him dearly, we're so glad we could help him again. Norman is now decompressing with one of our experienced fosters, where he's thriving in a calm, gentle, and loving space. In return, Norman is showing his true snuggly and smart self, revealing so much potential beyond his initial shyness.

Ideal Home

Norman would thrive in a home that can provide a predictable and calm environment, free from triggers. He is not suited for homes with other dogs. He also needs a home without young children, and ideally, with children aged 8 and up who are calm and understand his need for space.

Ongoing Health

Norman is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Norman is house-trained. He has shown he is a smart boy with a lot of potential. He needs a patient and understanding owner who can continue to help him build confidence and manage his anxieties around new people and situations.
