Cowboy is a brave survivor, about 2 years old, who has endured unimaginable cruelty. He was found abandoned and severely injured, having been used as a bait dog. Despite his traumatic past, Cowboy is now safe, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and receiving medical care. He has begun treatment for heartworm and is on the path to recovery. Cowboy can be cautious with other dogs and may do best as an only pet, allowing him to feel secure. He also takes time to warm up to men, which is understandable given his history. Cowboy deserves a loving and unwavering home where he can finally feel safe and cherished.
