Meet Alligator, a three-year-old, 62-pound pittie with a face like a cartoon moon and a smile that could power a small city. He has that big, round, unmistakable pittie head, soft white fur that feels like it was engineered specifically for stress relief, and sweet eyes that lock onto you with an unmistakable "oh, there you are" expression. And then there's the smile – the kind that makes strangers laugh out loud without meaning to. Alligator doesn't walk so much as prance; think Tigger, but sturdier. Joy first, feet second. He bounces through life like every moment is an invitation to celebrate being here, which, given his past, feels nothing short of miraculous. Alligator is a survivor of a cruelty case, and somehow, joy won. When his foster first brought him home, he didn't hesitate and went straight into the pool with a full send, no fear, just splash and a wagging tail – living proof that happiness cannot be permanently taken from a good dog.
Ideal Home
Alligator is wildly people-loving and enthusiastic. He may jump when he's excited, but he's working on it. He'd thrive with one playful dog friend who can match his energy, or as your one-and-only if you're ready to be adored like a celebrity. Because of his size and bounce, he's best suited for a home with older kids who won't get knocked over by his enthusiasm for existing.
Ongoing Health
Alligator has no ongoing health issues mentioned.
Training & Support
Alligator may jump when excited, but he's working on it and has been training hard. He now walks beautifully on leash, eager to do things right. He is polishing his dog-to-dog manners and doing really well.
