Banano

Meet Banano, a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a heart as big as his personality! Born in May 2022 and weighing around 10kg, Banano is a little guy who's proven himself to be the sweetest and most grateful soul. He was rescued after a daring dash through traffic near CUC University in Ixtapa, and despite his scary experience, he's remained incredibly resilient.

Banano is looking for a loving family who will cherish him and keep him safe. He has so much love to give and is eager to find his forever home.

Ongoing Health

Banano is currently being treated for Ehrlichia and anemia due to low platelets. He's already feeling much better and has been neutered and vetted.

• Approved adopters will be matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

Transportation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We adopt dogs to the US and Canada. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
