Kim is a handsome and active 1-year-old Border Collie/Labrador mix, weighing approximately 32 lbs. He's a sweet, loving, and joyful boy who is ready for adventure! Kim is a bit timid and needs time to decompress and build trust with new people, but he is incredibly smart and would be a perfect candidate for training to help him reach his full potential. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is also cat-friendly! Kim is already leash trained, crate trained, and enjoys car rides. He was found abandoned at the shelter's door and bravely battled and recovered from parvo.
Ideal Home
Kim would thrive in an active home with families who enjoy outdoor activities and have a fenced backyard. He needs a family with a real intention to rescue a dog, understanding that rescued animals may have unique behaviors due to past experiences. Patience and tolerance are a must, especially since Kim is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Kim was treated for parvo and has made a full recovery. He has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, is dewormed, and microchipped. He also has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are included.
Training & Support
Kim is not house-trained. He is smart and would benefit greatly from consistent training and positive reinforcement to help him build confidence and learn new things. Patience and understanding are key as he adjusts to his new environment.

Transportation
Kim is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400, which will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
