Hercules

Meet Hercules, a handsome adult male cattle dog mix with a heart full of love to give! Hercules is a very sweet, affectionate, and loving guy who has been with our rescue for a significant time. He's a smart pup who, true to his breed, thrives on having a lot of exercise and a daily purpose. While a shelter environment has unfortunately led to some anxiety due to his extended kennel time, a behavioral trainer has assessed him and found him to be a great dog with no aggression. He does, however, have boundaries and triggers that need to be understood and handled with care. Most importantly, Hercules needs an outlet for his boundless energy!

Ideal Home

Hercules would be happiest in a home with adopters who have experience with herding breeds and dogs who experience anxiety. An active family that can provide him with plenty of daily exercise and a calm, reassuring environment will help him flourish. It's important for his adopters to respect his individuality and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Hercules has developed anxiety due to his time in a kennel. While a behavioral trainer has assessed him and found him to be a great dog with no aggression, his triggers and boundaries need to be respected.

Training & Support

Hercules needs consistent exercise and mental stimulation to manage his energy and anxiety. Adopters experienced with herding breeds and anxious dogs will be best equipped to support his needs.
