Meet Archie – The Scruffy Gentleman With a Heart of Gold and a Rockstar ‘Do 🐾💙
Archie is an 8-year-old, 45 lb Terrier Mix with a magnificent mohawk and a soul full of sunshine. He found himself needing a new home after a diabetes diagnosis, which his previous owner couldn't manage due to frequent travel. But Archie has taken it all in stride, remaining the joyful, easygoing companion he’s always been. Now in foster care, he’s ready to bring his calm, happy energy to a loving forever home. He's a social butterfly who is friendly with everyone, including kids, cats, and other dogs. However, he can get a bit overwhelmed, so a quieter home with one or two humans would be ideal for him. Archie enjoys moderate activity – the perfect balance of walks and relaxation. He sleeps soundly in a comfy bed near his people and politely announces visitors with a low bark score of 3 out of 10. He's also a low-shedder, making him easy to care for. Archie loves mealtime, and his favorite snack is anything that earns him the title of "good boy." He's a stylish pup who rocks bold print bandanas and his signature color is royal blue plaid. Spring is his favorite season, and his walk-out song is "As Long As You Love Me" by the Backstreet Boys, as he's all about unconditional love.
Ideal Home
Archie would thrive in a chill, quiet home with one or two humans. Chaos should be kept to a minimum.
Ongoing Health
Archie has diabetes, managed with daily insulin (approximately $25/month) and supplements. He handles his routine like a champ and it doesn't slow him down at all. He is spayed, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations and preventatives.
Training & Support
Archie knows sit, down, and come, and has excellent recall. He's eager to please and loves to make his people proud. He is housebroken and happily roams freely when home alone. He walks well on a leash.
