Charlie - PYR Bridge Program

Meet Charlie! This sweet, young female Great Pyrenees mix is about 2 years old or younger and was found as a stray. She's been in a loving foster home for a couple of weeks, and now she's ready to find her forever family! Charlie is a bit shy at first with new people, but she's got a heart full of affection once she feels comfortable. She's never aggressive, not even around food, and once she trusts you, she's a playful pup who adores being petted.

Ideal Home

Charlie would thrive with a patient and experienced family who understands shy dogs. A securely fenced yard is a must for her to feel safe and explore. While her compatibility with children and other animals is unknown, any introductions should be slow and careful. She's best suited as the only pet in the home or with a very gradual introduction to other animals.

Ongoing Health

Charlie appears to be in good health with no known issues and eats well. The approved adopter will be responsible for having Charlie spayed within the first 30 days of adoption, as well as providing full vaccinations and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Charlie is potty-trained and does well in a fenced yard. She's still working on leash skills and needs positive, patient training to help her feel more comfortable walking on a leash. As she's still puppy-like, she enjoys chewing, so providing her with appropriate chew toys and some supervision will be key.
