Fisher is a sweet 14-year-old, 13-pound Shih Tzu who has truly mastered the art of enjoying life's simple pleasures. He adores cuddling, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings from the window, and being right by his favorite person's side. Despite his age, Fisher still has a good amount of energy and enjoys his daily walks! He's a charming boy with a missing eye that only adds to his unique character and doesn't slow him down at all.
Ideal Home
Fisher would thrive in a home where someone is present most of the time, as he truly loves his people and wants to be close. While he generally gets along well with other dogs, he can become a bit particular about his cuddle time and may get grumpy if another dog interrupts. This is manageable and part of his endearing "little old man" charm. He is also very clear that crates are not for him, preferring the freedom to nap wherever he wishes, which he does just fine when left out.
Ongoing Health
Fisher is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and microchipped. He is also current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. As a Shih Tzu, he does have regular grooming needs, but he tolerates and handles grooming sessions very well.
Training & Support
Fisher is already potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He walks nicely on a leash and is highly motivated by food, which can be a great asset for further training or reinforcing good behaviors. He is not a barky dog and is good with other dogs and children.
