Meet Teddy! This handsome little guy and his five siblings were rescued just hours before being euthanized, thanks to six extensions and a last-minute save right before the Fourth of July. Their brave mama, Liberty, was given a patriotic name, and each of her puppies received one too, celebrating their second chance at life. Teddy is an Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, estimated to be 4 weeks old, and has a world of adventures ahead of him. He's a tiny baby growing stronger daily in foster care and will be ready to join his forever family in approximately 45 weeks, after he receives his second round of puppy vaccinations. His mama is a sweet, 45-pound Cattle Dog mix who has been an incredible caregiver, and Teddy has clearly inherited her gentle, loving nature. Currently, Teddy is experiencing the joys of puppyhood—wobbly steps, playful tumbles with his siblings, and cozy naps after exploring. His personality is starting to shine through, revealing a sweet, curious, and affectionate puppy who loves to be close to his people. Like many puppies in Texas, Teddy didn't have the safest start, but he is now surrounded by love, full bellies, soft blankets, and kind hands in foster care, learning what it means to be cherished.
