Meet Juice (or Joey, as his foster calls him!), a sweet, 4-year-old, 56 lb Black Mouth Cur mix with the most soulful eyes and a heart just waiting to feel safe and loved. This charming boy has been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone's whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person. He shows his love by resting his head and paw on your arm, a gentle reminder of his devotion. Juice can be a bit shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions are key to building his trust, and once he trusts you, he'll be your most loyal companion.
Ideal Home
Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He needs a cat-free home as he is not cat friendly and will chase them. He would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine, he has made great progress. He eats separately in his crate and may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing and has had some potty accidents. He sleeps well in his crate through the night. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in.

- Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport. If you cannot accept a dog until a specific time, please apply at that time.
- We are a volunteer-run rescue and our time is donated to these dogs. Please only apply if you are serious about moving forward in our adoption process.
- If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
