Orchid is a lovely 6.5-year-old female Mixed Breed, weighing around 40lbs. She's a survivor who came to us from Saudi Arabia after living on the streets, and she was initially a bit shy about trusting humans. But don't let that fool you – Orchid has blossomed beautifully! She's passed all her recent training with flying colors and is now eager to share her love and embark on new adventures with a family. She's playful, loves exploring, walks well on a leash, and has excellent recall, especially when treats are involved! Orchid thrives with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, and she especially enjoys learning new tricks and playing with her toys – she's known to "boss" them around and make the fluff fly!
Ideal Home
Orchid would love a home in a quieter, rural or suburban setting, as she can find city noise overwhelming. A backyard for playtime would be a huge bonus! She does well with other well-balanced dogs who can match her playful energy and help her continue to learn about domestic life. She'd also be happy with respectful, dog-savvy teenagers. Orchid is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must. She can be cautious and a little nervous around strangers, especially men, and needs a bit of time to warm up. A patient and understanding family is key to helping her build confidence.
Ongoing Health
Orchid has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Orchid is crate and house trained. She's eager to please, especially for treats, and loves learning new things. Her new family should be committed to continuing her training and helping her build confidence, particularly around new people.
