Meet Dahlia
This beautiful girl has a heart as big as her puppy energy! She's a fun-loving, sweet 44lb Black Lab Mix, estimated to be born around 5/5/2023. Dahlia is always ready for an adventure, a cuddle, or a new friend. She's eager to learn, loves being around people, and gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats alike. Her story is incredible; she was found living under a house with her puppies, doing everything she could to keep them safe. Thankfully, rescue stepped in, her puppies were adopted, and just when her own future looked uncertain, a foster stepped up and changed her life forever. Now safe and thriving, this happy pup is ready for the forever home she truly deserves. Whether she's zooming around the yard, making new friends at the park, or curling up after a busy day, she brings joy everywhere she goes.
Ideal Home
Dahlia thrives with companionship and would do best in a home with other animals to play with and learn from. She is dog, cat, and kid-friendly.

Dahlia is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
Dahlia is already using a doggy door to go potty like a pro and is currently learning leash training. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy habits she's working through, including crate training. Plenty of toys are very helpful for her success, as she loves having lots of them to play with and does best when she has enrichment and companionship. She's still young, curious, and learning about the world, so she'll do best with a family excited to continue her training and help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

Transporation
Dahlia is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport. Pickup locations of transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states.
