Scoot

Scoot is an approximately 8-year-old, 30-pound dog who has been through a lot of changes recently. He was surrendered by his owner who had to move into housing that didn't allow pets, and he is adjusting to a new environment. Scoot isn't a big cuddler and likes to do his own thing, sometimes wanting affection and other times needing his space. He can be described as aloof, which is reportedly typical for his breed.

Ideal Home

Scoot would thrive in a home where he can have his own space and isn't forced into interactions. He has met other dogs and gets along well with them. However, he is not a fan of cats and will scream if they get too close. A fenced-in yard is a must for Scoot.

Ongoing Health

Scoot is neutered, has received an updated Rabies vaccine, and is in the process of restarting his DAPP vaccine series. He is currently on flea control and was recently dewormed.

Training & Support

Scoot is working on kennel training at night and is settling in to sleep through. He has not had any accidents in the house, but he is taken out every two hours. He is also a big fan of the couch! Scoot walks well on a leash. He has not been tested with children, but he is generally a chill dog, so it's not anticipated to be an issue.
