Wanda is a approximately 2-3 year old, 38-pound female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix who is ready to find her forever home! Wanda was found wandering the streets, malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite her rough start, she's blossomed into an active, playful, social, energetic, and loving companion. While she's been fine with small dogs, she's not social with bigger dogs and would do best as the only dog in the household.
Ideal Home
Wanda would thrive in a home with a family experienced with her breed, who enjoy an active lifestyle with plenty of outdoor activities and daily walks. A fenced backyard is a must for her. Her ideal family will have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and possess experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and tolerance for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Wanda has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested for 4DX and heartworm (negative results). She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Wanda is not house-trained. The rescue invests significant effort in the rehabilitation of their animals, but due to the sheer number of pets in foster care, they are unable to house-train each one. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue her training and provide the necessary patience and guidance for a rescued pup.
