Meet Rac, the raccoony pooch! This energetic and happy Husky mix is around 1 year old and weighs about 62 lbs. Rac got his adorable nickname from the unique markings around his eyes that give him a roguish charm. He's an outgoing guy who loves to play, whether it's zoomies with his dog friends or a good tug-of-war session with his favorite toys. Long walks and new adventures are his jam, and while getting into the car might be a bit of a learning curve, he thoroughly enjoys the ride once he's in! Rac can be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and love, he blossoms into a devoted best friend.
Rac's story is one of resilience. He was rescued from a harsh winter freeze after being found roaming without shelter. A kind neighbor had been feeding him, but couldn't take him in. Thankfully, his current foster dad stepped in to give him a loving home. Rac even spent time with a trainer to help him adjust to indoor living. He's doing wonderfully in his foster home with his canine siblings, though he's a bit too spirited for feline friends. His foster dad describes him as very sweet and a big fan of attention.
Ideal Home
Rac would be happiest in an active home where he can enjoy hikes, play with doggy pals, and snuggle with his loved ones. He's eager to explore new things and is a fantastic car rider! He's ready for a forever family that will offer him patience and endless love.
