Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a handsome 2-3 year old, 80lb Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of resilience and a personality ready to shine! He was found in rough shape, battling wounds, fleas, and heartworms. After months of dedicated medical care, Sherpa has made a remarkable recovery, and his spirited nature is now in full bloom! He's intelligent, diligent, and has an independent streak, making him a fantastic candidate for a working dog role. Sherpa is friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs of similar size. While he’s a sweet boy who aims to please, he's still learning his social graces and can sometimes be more interested in exploring or focusing on a task.

Ideal Home

Sherpa is looking for a home that can continue his socialization journey. He would thrive in an environment where he can explore and engage in tasks.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has fully recovered from his past medical issues, including heartworms. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Sherpa is currently enrolled at Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he's doing wonderfully in scent work and improving his communication skills. His adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's trainers, which can be done in-person (NYC or willing to travel) or virtually, to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success.

Transportation

Sherpa is looking for foster placement in NYC or surrounding areas. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to meet him.
