I'm Ginny, a 1-year-old, 57-pound Shepherd/Lab mix who is a sweetheart through and through! I absolutely love to play and have someone throw balls and toys for me to chase. When I'm outside, I get the zoomies and love to spin around and fling my toys to catch them mid-air. After a good play session, I enjoy a nice nap on my bed with a Kong filled with frozen yogurt or peanut butter, or a good chew stick. I'm a very smart girl – I learned to crate train in just 4 days! I like to follow my foster mom around the house so I don't miss any of the action. I love new adventures, whether it's exploring new places on a walk, going for a hike, or taking a car ride. Just a heads-up, I do need a little help getting into SUVs or trucks as they are a bit too high for me. My foster mom thinks I'm extra adorable when I tilt my head to watch planes or sit outside with my eyes closed, just sniffing the air. I'm dog-friendly and would love a fenced yard for all my zoomie-running fun. My foster mom hasn't had me around cats, so I'm not sure how I'd do with them. I can be a little mouthy when I want something, so an active family experienced with energetic dogs would be a perfect match for me. I'd also do best with children aged 8 and up due to my mouthiness. I promise to be your most grateful and best buddy for life!
Ideal Home
I need a fenced yard for my zoomies! I haven't been around cats, so that's a question mark. I can be a bit mouthy, so an active family with experience with energetic dogs is best. Kids should be 8+.
Ongoing Health
I am spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. I've also been treated for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatments.
Training & Support
I'm already crate-trained (in just 4 days!). I can be mouthy when I want something, so continued positive reinforcement and guidance will help.

I am currently located in the Chicago and surrounding suburbs area. We are unable to adopt to families outside of this region.
