Tahoe Trailblazer is a handsome, adventurous 1.5-year-old shepherd mix who is happiest when he's part of the action! He's smart, social, and loves people, making him the perfect "let's go do stuff" companion. Tahoe has a stunning coat and an athletic presence that is sure to turn heads. He's currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs and has regular visits from grandchildren, ages 4 and 6. He's house-trained, crate-trained, playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart. Tahoe wants to be involved, learn, interact, and connect with his people. He enjoys activity and engagement.
Ideal Home
Tahoe would do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of activity and enrichment. He is not a dog who wants to be left alone for long periods. He needs a feline-free home, as he has shown a strong prey drive towards cats. If another dog is part of the home, it should be over 25 lbs. to handle Tahoe's size and enthusiasm.

Training & Support
Tahoe is a very workable dog who responds well to guidance and corrections. He is eager to learn and would benefit from continued training, which he will likely find fun. He already responds well to leash corrections, checks back in with handlers, and recovers quickly from overstimulation. Consistency and structure will be key to his continued success.

Tahoe is currently located in Texas. He can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
