About Rome

Hi again White Paws followers! It's your buddy Rome here. Boy the past few months have been... busy? I have been a lot of new places, met a lot of new faces, and let's just say I'm over it. I am ready to get back to the comfy life I have always known. If you know shepherds, you know we have traits and certain tendencies, which make us a breed that is not for everyone. On the flip side, you also know how loyal, smart, and protective we can be. I would love to join a family who understands me. I have been working hard on training with my foster, and it's obvious, I love to work, even if it's just for kibble! I arrived at my foster home with some anxiety, but with some routine and consistency, I have been improving every single day. The sooner I find my furever, the better—I don't want to settle into my foster and have to move again!! I could be an only dog, but if I have a fur sibling, they will need to accept me for me. If they are anxious, we probably won't mesh. I have shown a slight prey drive towards the small dog here. I have lived with kids before, I like them! But remember, I am a shepherd... I might try to herd them if they run! It's all in fun, but older kids are probably best.

Ideal Home

A family who understands shepherd traits and tendencies. Older kids are preferred. Rome would prefer to be an only dog, or if he has a furry sibling, they should not be anxious, as Rome has shown a slight prey drive towards the small dog in his foster home.

Ongoing Health

Rome is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Rome is potty trained and crate trained. He is a typical vocal shepherd and training will be very important for him. He arrived with some anxiety but has been improving with routine and consistency.
