Meet Reedy Creek, affectionately known as RC!
RC is a handsome Retriever mix with a heart far bigger than his size. His journey hasn't been an easy one, but you would never know it from his joyful spirit and loving personality. RC was named after the 13-day hike along the Reedy Creek River that ultimately led to his rescue. When he was found, he had a severe wound on his left paw and leg. X-rays revealed the heartbreaking causeRC had been shot. Despite the efforts to save his leg, he ultimately required an amputation. Through it all, RC remained incredibly sweet, trusting, and full of love.
Today, RC is thriving and doesn't let having three legs slow him down. He is house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets, including men, women, children, dogs, and even cats. He has a calm, medium energy level and is happiest when he's close to his people, soaking up affection and handing out his signature sweet kisses. RC is a gentleman around other dogs, happily ignoring those who bark at him, but eagerly joining in when another dog invites him to play. He is learning his leash manners and crate training and continues to impress his foster family with how adaptable and eager to please he is. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, or simply a loyal best friend, RC is ready to fill that role. His resilience, gentle nature, and heart of gold make him a truly special dog who is more than ready to find the loving family he deserves. Could RC be the missing piece in your family?
Ideal Home
RC would preferably thrive in a home with a yard, but could potentially live in an apartment. He doesn't necessarily need another dog in the home, but it's not a requirement either way.
Ongoing Health
RC is a happy and healthy tripod, enjoying life to the fullest!
Training & Support
RC is house-trained and rides well in the car. He is working on his leash manners and crate training, and continues to impress with his eagerness to please. He will bark if he wants something.

Transportation
RC is currently located in Georgia. He will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. Meet & greets for dogs in Ontario will only be arranged once an adoption application is approved.
