ESSEX

Essex is a charming Cockapoo mix, approximately 5 years old and weighing 10 lbs. He's a clever pup who can entertain himself for hours with his toys and loves a good zoom around the yard! Essex can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so he would do best as the only dog in the home or with one very laid-back canine companion. He's a smart and spirited little guy who needs an experienced owner who can appreciate his precocious and alpha personality.

Ideal Home

Essex would be a wonderful companion for someone older who is looking for a playful and engaging dog. He would do best in a home without children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Essex's coat was severely matted when he was rescued and he had to be shaved down. His coat is growing in beautifully now.

Training & Support

Essex is pretty well house-trained, but he does occasionally mark other dogs' beds, so consistent reinforcement of house rules will be key. He walks well on a leash.
