About WOLFIE > Bleeding Heart Society

Wolfie is a gorgeous, approximately one-year-old pup who weighs 63 lbs and has a unique, coyote-like appearance. He's a very people-friendly boy who shows no reaction to cats, loves children, and has not exhibited reactivity towards other dogs. Wolfie has a high energy level, rating an 8 out of 10, and truly lives life to the fullest with joyful play. He absolutely adores affection, readily giving and receiving kisses, hugs, and snuggles. Wolfie is also gentle, even when taking high-value treats.

Despite spending a good portion of his young life in isolation, Wolfie is incredibly smart and perceptive. He can sit on command without any prior training and is very attuned to communication. While we haven't had the opportunity to test it, he's likely brave and protective. Wolfie's striking looks are a big part of his charm, and he possesses a unique beauty. He loves life's simple pleasures: treats, walks, adventures, and attention, though he'd choose adventures and walks over treats any day, despite being highly food-motivated. Like many Huskies, he dislikes being confined. Wolfie is fairly independent and has a knack for making people laugh, making him truly one of a kind. He keeps his kennel clean and tidy, suggesting he'll adapt well to house-training with consistent structure. Wolfie has no known storm or separation anxiety, nor any other behavioral issues. He walks well on a leash; after an initial burst of sniffing, he follows instructions and doesn't pull much. He's also well-behaved in the car. His food drive is immense – he believes no crumb should be left behind! His prey drive is likely standard, as we haven't observed anything unusual. Wolfie would benefit from learning the ropes of living in a house, which would be a new experience for him. With a slow and patient introduction, he's expected to adjust quickly. He has no known health concerns.

Ideal Home

An active family, or an individual or couple who enjoys activities like hiking, would be a perfect fit for Wolfie. Someone who is eager to engage with him and provide him with plenty of opportunities for exercise and exploration would help him thrive.

Ongoing Health

Wolfie currently has no known health concerns.

Training & Support

Wolfie is new to house living and would need a patient and understanding introduction to this environment. He is expected to learn quickly with consistent structure and guidance.
