Freedom is an almost 6-month-old, 29-pound Heeler mix with the sweetest heart and the gentlest soul. If you're looking for a best friend who loves to cuddle just as much as he loves to play, Freedom is your guy. This handsome pup is a little shy when meeting new people, but it's the soft, endearing kind of shy that melts your heart. Once he realizes he's safe, his affectionate personality shines through. He's incredibly gentle, submissive, eager to please, and simply wants to be close to his people. Freedom is thriving in his foster home. He's excellent in his crate, keeping it clean with no accidents, and he's making great progress with his house training. Like any puppy, he's still learning, but he's a quick study and takes guidance from other dogs beautifully. One thing you'll notice right away is Freedom's adorable oversized paws! While we're not exactly sure what he's mixed with, those big feet have us thinking he may grow into a bigger boy—and that just means more of him to love! Freedom's favorite things include romping around with other dogs, and he enjoys having canine friends to help build his confidence and show him the ropes. He's also dog and cat friendly, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of homes. Freedom is looking for a family that will give him a little patience as he settles in. Freedom is located in our rescue partner’s home in Houston, TX. Transport can be arranged to your local Wags adoption event.
