Meet Venus! Venus is a 5-year-old, approximately 45 lb spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. She's the type of dog who will rest her head on your lap and gaze at you with adoration. Venus is calm and people-oriented, happy to relax on the couch with you or join you for an outdoor adventure. She loves to play with other dogs, enjoying wrestling and backyard zoomies. Venus also adores her toys and playing with her humans, and she has a special fondness for water, whether it's a kiddie pool or a stream on a trail. She's a great traveler and rides well in the car, making her an ideal companion for road trips and park visits.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she is a true part of the family. A home with older, respectful children who understand boundaries would be a great fit. She would also do best in a home without cats, as she has shown a strong interest in chasing them.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners and can pull, but she is a quick learner and very food-motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. Out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved.
