Meet Gertrude, a 3-year-old, 53-pound sweetheart ready to leave her past behind and start a beautiful new chapter with a family who will give her the love and stability she truly deserves. Gertrude may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time and a tasty treat, and she'll quickly show you just how warm and loving she can be. She's a well-mannered girl who walks nicely on a leash and is highly food-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training and bonding. Gertrude's absolute favorite thing in the world is toys! Watching her play is the quickest way to see her joyful, goofy side shine through. She's already spayed and vaccinated.

Ideal Home

Gertrude would thrive as the only dog in the home, though she may be able to live with a calm, independent dog who prefers their own space. Cats are not her thing. Because of her sensitive nature, Gertrude would do best in a home with older children (13+) who can understand her boundaries and help her feel safe and secure.
