Meet Nova!

Nova is a radiant 9-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever from Charlotte, NC, who embodies pure affection. This 75-pound bundle of joy, with her glossy black coat, greets everyone as a future friend, showering them with enthusiastic kisses and wagging her tail. Nova lives for joyful connection, whether she's playing with her favorite squeaky llama toy, showing off her "sit" and "shake" commands, or cuddling after a walk. She thrives on routine, enjoying two daily walks, consistent meal times, and a cozy nighttime ritual. While she loves couch snuggles and belly rubs, Nova has a playful, mischievous side when it comes to unattended snacks or mulch piles, so supervision and a crate with a peanut butter Kong are recommended when she's home alone.

Ideal Home

Nova would do best as the only pet in the home, as she prefers to be the sole furry companion. She has a history of not getting along with other dogs and has had two past incidents with canines. Nova is not aggressive towards people and absolutely adores them, but a pet-free environment will allow her to feel relaxed and secure as the center of attention. She would thrive with older children and active caregivers who can keep her engaged, exercised, and loved.

Ongoing Health

Nova has a sensitive stomach and can experience stress when left alone.

Training & Support

Nova is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She benefits from a structured environment with regular walks and mealtimes. When left alone, a sturdy crate with a peanut butter Kong is recommended for her success.
