Why the name Gusher? Because this boy is an absolute gush of love! Gusher’s story started off a little rough. After being lost (or possibly abandoned) in a rural area, he survived by becoming a professional scavenger and part-time heat warrior in the 100° San Antonio sun. Covered in fleas and ticks and determined to make it, he was thankfully brought to safety by local police officers who knew he deserved a second chance. And wow — did he take that second chance and RUN with it! Today, Gusher is thriving and you would never guess he’s 6 years old. He’s healthy, happy, and has the joyful spirit of a dog half his age. His tail wags like it’s powered by its own generator, and he treats every new person like a long-lost best friend. He loves all people and has done great with every dog he’s met. Gusher is proof that resilience comes with a wagging tail. He’s funny, affectionate, and just the right mix of playful and chill.
