Stryker

Stryker is a handsome young Pit Bull Terrier mix with the most adorable white sock markings on his feet! He's a fantastic walker on leash, happily trotting along right beside you. Stryker already knows a few commands, like "sit" and "come," and he's a gentle recipient of treats. He's very food motivated, which makes him eager to learn even more. Stryker is friendly and happy to greet new people, showing his affectionate nature and a strong desire for attention. He thoroughly enjoys romping around with his favorite squeaky toys.

Ideal Home

Stryker would thrive in a home where he can continue his training and receive plenty of affection. He will need a tolerant canine friend and likely a very slow introduction to any resident dogs. When meeting cats, he was initially tense but then ignored them; he will need to be monitored with cat friends to ensure everyone's safety. His previous interactions with children are unknown.

Ongoing Health

Stryker is heartworm negative. His adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and microchip.

Training & Support

Stryker does need some work on basic manners, as he tends to jump when excited and can be a little mouthy during happy play. His previous tendency to hump other dogs should improve post-neuter. He is friendly and playful when greeting other dogs at the shelter.
