Stryker

Stryker is a handsome Pit Bull Terrier mix with adorable white sock markings. He is affectionate, friendly, food-motivated, and eager to learn. He walks wonderfully on leash, enjoys squeaky toys, and already knows “sit” and “come.”

He can jump when excited and may be mouthy during happy play, so he would benefit from continued work on basic manners. He is friendly and playful with other dogs at the shelter, though he may need a tolerant canine friend and a very slow introduction. He was initially tense around cats before ignoring them and should be monitored around cats. Children’s compatibility is unknown.

Ideal Home

• A home prepared to continue basic manners training.
• A tolerant resident dog, with a very slow introduction, may be a good match.
• Cat interactions should be monitored carefully.

Ongoing Health

Stryker’s heartworm test was negative. His adoption fee includes neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm testing, and a free wellness exam.
