Shady

Shady is an over 3 years old Teddy Roosevelt Terrier ready for his new home. He's a retired breeding dog looking for a loving family to shower with attention. Shady has an awesome personality, is very outgoing, and has a great sense of humor. He loves to play with his toys and "buddies," especially racing around the yard and barking with excitement. He also enjoys relaxing next to you while you watch TV, getting belly rubs and lots of affection.

Ideal Home

Shady is good with other small dogs and gets along fine with larger dogs, though he may need slow introductions. He does chase cats a little bit and has some prey drive when they run, so a home without cats or with a plan to manage this would be ideal. He is good with kids and good in the house, though he may need a little training to stop marking.

Ongoing Health

Shady will be neutered before going to his new home. He will receive proper vaccinations and deworming, along with a vet check and health care.

Training & Support

Shady may need a little training to stop marking in the house. He is crated at night but does not need to be crated when left alone during the day. He would likely be happy sleeping in bed with his family.
