Dib - URGENT

This little guy is Dib, an 8-week-old Lab mix who is in urgent need of a loving home. Dib is currently battling an upper respiratory infection, and the shelter environment puts him at high risk. He's been at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter since June 24, 2026, and is ready to leave this stressful situation behind.

Ideal Home

Dib needs a patient and caring home where he can recover and grow. As a young puppy, he'll require consistent attention and a safe space to heal.

Ongoing Health

Dib is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection. We are committed to ensuring he receives the best care possible.

Training & Support

As a young puppy, Dib will benefit from early socialization and consistent positive reinforcement training. He has no known behavioral issues at this time, but as with any puppy, patience and understanding will be key to his success.

• We partner with Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield to find homes for at-risk dogs.
• Due to understaffing at the shelter, they do not often answer phones or respond to voicemails. We will ensure the shelter contacts you once you reach out to us.

Transporation

Dib is currently located at Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. We can arrange transportation for adopters on the West Coast. Adopters will be responsible for any associated transport fees.
