Buddy

Meet Buddy, a 3-year-old, 73 lb Black Mouth Cur mix who's ready to be your favorite couch companion! Whether he's making new friends, enjoying a leisurely walk, or relaxing beside you after a long day, Buddy is happiest when he's spending time with his people. He has a wonderful balance of playful energy and a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. Buddy came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to neighbor issues, through no fault of his own. He is also heartworm positive, but heartworm disease is treatable, and he deserves a loving home just as much as any other dog. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's just as happy joining you on a walk as he is sharing the couch, Buddy is ready to meet you.

Buddy should not be placed in a home with certain livestock due to his breed's natural instincts.

Buddy is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is treatable.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• We adopt to families with children.
• No fenced-in yard is required.
• Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Transporation

Buddy is located in HSSM. We have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions.
