Oscar is a 5-year-old, 60-pound standard poodle who is as smart as he is sweet, and ready to start his next chapter with a family who will truly cherish him. Oscar came to us after being surrendered alongside his mate and their puppies from an Amish breeder. While his past revolved around producing litters, Oscar is now getting the chance to simply be a dog and he's settling into that role beautifully. He's a thoughtful, curious boy who enjoys taking in the world around him. Whether he's out on a walk or just observing his surroundings, Oscar shows a gentle confidence and an inquisitive nature. He walks well on leash, making him a wonderful companion for daily strolls and adventures. Oscar has been a good, cooperative boy with our volunteers, he allows handling with ease and has a calm, easygoing demeanor. Beneath his composed nature is a truly affectionate dog who enjoys connection and quiet attention from his people. He has lived with kids of all ages and done well, showing patience and a gentle presence that makes him a great potential family dog. As a poodle, Oscar is intelligent and will thrive with continued engagement, whether that's training, enrichment, or simply being included in daily life. He's the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and will be a loyal, loving companion to his future family. Oscar is a really special boy - steady, kind, and full of quiet charm. He's ready to make one lucky family very happy.
