Mango

Mango is a sweet, curious girl who was rescued after her stray hold, having been given up by her previous family. She's house and kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys observing the world from the window. Mango sleeps soundly in her kennel at night and, after an initial alert to neighborhood fireworks, settled down quickly. She's eager to greet new people and canines, and once her initial excitement passes, she's a gentle, easy-going companion who loves car rides, playing in the yard, and cozy naps. Mango is also a smart cookie, picking up on household routines with ease.

Ideal Home

Mango would thrive in a home where her humans are aware of her impaired vision and head shyness, and can help her adapt to her limited sight.

Ongoing Health

Mango is considered special needs due to scar tissue behind her cornea, likely from an old trauma. This has resulted in impaired vision and potentially blindness in one eye. There is no recommended treatment at this time.

Training & Support

Mango is generally well-behaved but does alert to people and squirrels passing by. She quiets down quickly when thanked for her alert, showing she's responsive to guidance.

• TARA's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.
