Summer

Summer is a delightful 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs about 50 pounds. She's a smart girl who is looking for a home that understands and appreciates her breed's intelligence and energy. Summer is still learning how to navigate the world of canine friendships and is a bit under-socialized with other dogs. She would do best as the only dog in the home or with a very dog-social canine companion who can help show her the ropes in a positive way. Treats are definitely a great way to her heart!

Ideal Home

Summer thrives in an environment that can keep her both mentally and physically active. She needs a home that is experienced with Shepherd-type dogs. She would prefer to be the sole canine companion, or with a dog who is exceptionally well-socialized and can be a positive role model.

Ongoing Health

Summer is up-to-date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, and microchipping.

Training & Support

Summer is working on her social skills with other dogs and needs patient guidance to learn proper communication. She responds very well to treats, so positive reinforcement training will be key to her success!
