Onyx Baby the Sweet Boy Special

Onyx Baby is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 7 months old and currently weighs 33 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Ideal Home

Onyx would thrive in a home with a back yard where he can romp around, stretch his legs, play with his toys, and relax in the sun. In all honesty though, he is completely happy being a total couch potato as well. So get ready for lazy Sunday movie marathon snuggles with Onyx because that's what's going to happen. He'll enjoy mini adventures as well, just be prepared to be stopped by everyone because hes so stinking cute. Onyx is the best of both worlds in our eyes. We haven't seen Onyx around kids just yet and we can absolutely test that for you. Based off what we already know about him, we believe he would make a great family dog. He also does great with other dogs and has been very respectful around cats, so a home with other pets is ideal.

Ongoing Health

Onyx is a rescue and has received all vetting including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Onyx is already so well behaved and according to his foster, already has wonderful house manners too. Onyx comes prepped already knowing a couple of basic commands such as sit and is so gentle when he takes treats. He loves treats, is eager to please, and has already proven he's a smart little boy. The perfect trifecta for any additional training you would like to do with him in the future. It'll be an enjoyable bonding experience for you both. Onyx is crate trained and is working on his potty training. His foster reports that he has it down for the most part but when left for long hours he does occasionally have an accident.

Onyx is located in Houston, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
