Oscar is a sweet young Labrador mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 32 lbs, with a big heart and a joyful spirit. He's incredibly social with children, men, and women, building trust almost instantly with everyone he meets. Oscar loves being around people and enjoys spending time with other dogs. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and his friendly personality makes him an easy dog to fall in love with.
Ideal Home
Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He needs a home with a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, and ideally, a family with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer. He is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, noticeable when he is resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or his loving nature. He has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, multiple vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, heartworm test, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). He has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Oscar is not house-trained and will require dedicated training in this area. He also needs owners with high tolerance and patience, as well as experience or willingness to seek professional training to best support this intelligent dog. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people.

- Filling out an adoption form and providing photos/videos of your home.
- A call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
- Reference checks (1-2).
- Upon approval, signing the adoption contract and paying the adoption fee.
Transportation
Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available through a partnered transport company that organizes scheduled trips 3-4 times a year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. The transport fee is $400 USD and includes all necessary legal documents, a USDA Health Certificate, and real-time updates during the journey. A final home review will be conducted upon delivery.
