Kenai

Meet Kenai, a sweet and gentle mixed breed estimated to be between 2-4 years old. Kenai's journey to safety was a difficult one. She was found as a stray with a chain and trap dragging behind her. Upon her rescue, it was discovered that her front leg was severely injured by a foothold trap and required amputation. Now a brave tripod, Kenai is safe in our care and adapting wonderfully to her new way of moving. Despite her traumatic past, she remains a friendly, loving, and smart companion who gets along well with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Kenai is looking for a loving home where she can continue her recovery and thrive.

Ongoing Health

Kenai has had a front leg amputated due to injuries sustained from a trap. She is currently recovering and learning to navigate as a tripod.

Training & Support

Like all rescue dogs, Kenai will benefit from continued training and socialization to help her adjust to her new life.

Transporation

Kenai is located in South Carolina and is transported to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. Local or virtual meet-and-greets are available with an application on file.
