ButterNut is a bright and loving 11-month-old, 54lb girl with a beautiful spirit. She's overcome a significant injury from being hit by a car as a puppy, which resulted in a broken leg and hip. Thanks to proper care and recovery, she's doing wonderfully! She's an active and playful pup who enjoys having a canine companion to play with. While she can play a bit boisterously, she'd do best with a dog her own size or larger who can keep up. ButterNut is a touch shy initially but warms up quickly, revealing a very intelligent and gentle nature. She adores snuggling and will undoubtedly bring endless fun and affection to her forever family.

Ideal Home

ButterNut needs an active, playful buddy as her best friend and would be very lonely without other dogs. She would thrive in a home with an easy-going dog her size or larger, as she can sometimes play hard. She requires a fenced yard to keep her safe and prevent her from running, as she has a history of being hit by a car.

Ongoing Health

ButterNut had a broken front leg and hip injury as a puppy. While she has recovered extremely well, there's a possibility of developing arthritis in her hip as she gets older.

Training & Support

ButterNut is house-trained but may still have occasional accidents. She is crate-trained and good in the car. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. Her barking level is medium to high. She is not good off-leash as she is a roamer and runner.
